The cozy party hotel Estrella de Mar opens its doors to welcome guests from July 1st! The complex is located in the very center of Benidorm, it has nine stylish and practical studios, which are decorated with maximum convenience for the residents.
The apartments are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and their design is specially made in such a way that you feel calm and comfortable, like at home. Access to the studio is carried out using the smart lock system. And, of course, all security measures are observed in a pandemic.
This studio is perfect for a business trip, because the hotel is open all year round. And of course, it is ideal for a summer vacation for tourists, because it is just a few minutes’ walk from the sandy beaches, fine dining and other entertainment of the Mediterranean resort.
Shopping is an integral part of any quality vacation. This is a great opportunity to buy clothes and accessories at good prices, meet new brands and just have a great time. And Benidorm is perfect for the role of the ideal city for vacation shopping.
Benidorm has two large shopping centers – Carrefour and La Marina. In them you will find both premium segment stores and popular mass market. And in the Carrefour hypermarket itself, there is a good selection of wines, cheeses and jamon for every taste and budget.
There are also outlets in the city – must-see points for shoppers. You can find anything there and at very competitive prices. Some of the most popular outlets are Kiabi Outlet, Decathlon, and San Vicente Outlet is a whole town of a wide variety of outlets, from mass market to fashion boutiques.
Many tourists bring souvenirs from vacation, of course. As a souvenir from Spain, you can serve a bottle of good wine, jamon on the bone and with a special stand, clothes from local shops that cannot be found abroad. And in local markets and in tourist shops you can buy fans, castanets, figurines, beautiful painted dishes and even national Spanish costumes.
Nothing creates a romantic mood like a magnificent sea view. And what could be more beautiful than a sea sunset? That is why the verandas of restaurants and the promenades of Benidorm are always full in the evening.
Also, many Spanish houses have wonderful spacious terraces with amazing views. Such terraces are just created for aesthetic evening relaxation and romantic dinner! It requires gentle music, exquisite wine, light snacks and, of course, pleasant company.
Great wine in Benidorm can be found in any supermarket or liquor store, there are many in the city, and the vendors will be happy to recommend something for your taste.
And for a snack, prepare tapas – miniature sandwiches with all kinds of fillings. A piece of bread can have anything your heart desires – from meat and cheese to seafood and vegetables. Even children can cook such snacks. They do not need a special recipe and proportions. Don’t let covid ruin your holiday experience! Put on some romantic music and now combine all the ingredients. You will get the perfect light romantic dinner. Done, enjoy!
Surfing is so popular nowadays that you can meet fans of this sport in any sea city. Benidorm is no exception. Happy people with planks splash in the waves from morning to evening. And recently paddle surfing is gaining popularity – you need to stand on the board and control the paddle.
For paddle surfing, waves, wind and physical training are absolutely not necessary, and even a child can do it. Local clubs and sports schools offer surfing and paddle surfing courses. Thanks to the warm water and sandy bottom, training is as safe and comfortable as possible, experts monitor the state of the sea and will not allow you to study if this is contraindicated. Equipment can be rented there or at small rental points that are located along the entire coast.
Another popular activity is water skiing. On Levante Beach, about 50 meters from the shore, you can see the starting platform, and there is a ticket booth on the shore. An hour of skiing costs 26 euros with equipment rental.
Tio Ximo Beach is located in a small bay in the north of Benidorm. Large waves do not enter here, making the Tio Ximo ideal for a calm and lazy swim. The sandy beach and rocky bottom ensure the clarity of the water and its incredible azure color. And under the water is a breathtaking marine world that is worth seeing with your own eyes. Tio Ximo bay is one of the most popular diving spots. After the huge and noisy Levante beach, the bay seems to be a very quiet and peaceful place. It is also a favorite place for a variety of photo shoots.
The length of the beach is only 70 meters, of the amenities there are only umbrellas and sun loungers for hire. Despite this, the beach is quite popular. An asphalt road leads here, you can get there by car, but there is no equipped parking, and places on the sides are very limited. We recommend that you leave your car in the city and walk to the beach.
There is so much entertainment on the Costaablanca coast. And in the air, and on the ground, and even under water! The variety of activities attracts a large number of tourists, because everyone here will find something to their liking.
For those who want to get better acquainted with the underwater world of Benidorm, but are afraid to dive with scuba diving, there is snorkeling – this is swimming right under the surface of the water with a mask, snorkel and fins. Even a small child can master such an adventure, because this requires a minimum amount of energy.
You can enjoy the mesmerizing underwater views right in Benidorm, for example, in the bay of Tio Ximo or near the island of Benidorm. And within 50 kilometers from the city, there are many places where you can dive, meet octopuses and even see sunken ships – the Ifach rock, La Cala bay.
Snorkeling equipment can be bought in shops on the waterfront, or you can rent it in diving clubs, of which there are a lot in the city, for example, Diving stones, Les Basetes.
Kayaking is a wonderful outdoor activity. This is a good opportunity to see the surroundings from the sea, sunbathe and test your endurance. You can go kayaking alone, enjoying the unity with nature, with friends, or even with an excursion group, listening to interesting stories. These tours are offered by tour desks and nautical clubs such as Capitan Kayak, Fun & Quads Adventure. Experienced guides – connoisseurs of the surroundings will show you the rarest places that a common tourist is unlikely to find on his own.
The most popular and easiest route is to walk to the islet of Benidorm, which is located directly opposite the beach. It lasts approximately 45 minutes and costs 50 euros at the Capitan Kayak. Even beginners can easily master this adventure. More sophisticated tourists can try their hand at traveling along the coast, past the Albir Lighthouse and the colorful Ifach Cliff. Be sure to bring sunscreen, glasses, and a light snack. Prices for such swims will depend on the destination and individual nuances. You can find information on current excursions on the websites.
Benidorm and its surroundings are a real boon for cycling enthusiasts. Both amateurs and professionals come here to ride, because the variety of landscapes and routes will satisfy any request. Easy walking trails along the coastline side by side with harsh mountain trails, which only true fans can master. By the way, some popular competitions are also held in Benidorm, and people from all over the country come to see them.
There are many bike rental points in the city itself, they can be standard or automatic. For example, the Bicidorm automatic bike rental network. The prices are comparatively low, one bike will cost you 5 euros per day. But they can only be used within the city. In addition to standard bicycles, you have the opportunity to ride a multi-seat bicycle cafe – an unusual kind of sightseeing tour for a large company. The cost of such entertainment is 15 euros, including three pints of beer for one passenger.
In any area of Benidorm, there is sure to be a bureau that will offer many interesting excursions and tours for every taste and budget. After all, you can not just ride around the area, but also learn a lot from qualified guides.
The waters of the Costablanca are too beautiful not to see it with your own eyes. Benidorm is very popular with diving enthusiasts due to its calm waters and rich underwater world. There are many clubs in the city, which can provide both a one-time entertainment service and serious courses with a certificate. The Diving Stones Club – one of the most popular in Benidorm – is located right in the city center. Experienced instructors will provide you with equipment, teach you everything you need to know and make sure you are safe.
The most beautiful places for diving are the coves of Tio Chimo and Almadraba, the islet of Benidorm. If you move a little away from the city, you can see the wreck of a sunken ship at the Ifach rock, visit the Elephant Cave or meet octopuses in La Cala Bay. Whichever location you choose, the beauty of the underwater world will still be beautiful. Experienced instructors will supply you with equipment, teach you everything you need to know, and make sure you are safe.
The cost of the dive depends on the options you choose. This is delivery to the place, equipment, time and number of people. On average, a standard dive will cost you around 80-100 euros. And for an additional fee, you can order video filming.
If you are ready for an adrenaline and serotonin rush, we advise you to admire Benidorm and its surroundings from a rather unusual side – from the height of a seagull!
Parasailing is flying over the sea with a parachute attached to a boat. The feeling of freedom and incredible aesthetic pleasure is guaranteed to absolutely everyone. It’s safe and very, very fun.
Paragliding – flying on a glider – is a slightly more extreme option, but no less exciting. Unlike a parachute, the glider can be steered, even upward if you want to. Complete beginners can try a pair flight with an instructor.
Such entertainment can be found at tourist offices or on your own on the Internet. Some of the most popular companies are Summer Paragliding and Outbound Adventures, they have their own pricing sites and many positive reviews on TripAdvisor. The price of such an amazing experience is from 90/100 euros, it all depends on the flight time and individual nuances.
Poniente Beach is one of the most spacious in Benidorm, its length is 3 kilometers, but unlike its neighbor, Levante Beach, it is calmer and quieter, well suited for a measured family vacation. The part closest to Kala Hill is considered to be especially calm; it is located far from the center and the noisy promenade. The eastern part is the busiest, because the Old City is three steps away. The good thing for children is that the entrance to the water is shallow, the depth does not start immediately, and this is a great place to learn to swim. The beach infrastructure is fully equipped, there is a medical center and rescue towers. And the entertainment is provided by beach volleyball courts, cable parks for children, mattress and sports equipment rental centers.
There is no natural shade on the beach, only umbrellas provide it, which you can rent for 4.5 euros per day, there you will also find sun loungers. Interesting fact: the promenade adjacent to the Poniente beach is on the 4th place among the most beautiful in the world!
Terra Mitika is not a simple amusement park, but a whole historical and cultural entertainment center for children and adults. On an area of more than 100 hectares, you will plunge into ancient history, get a lot of new experiences and have fun from the heart, having received a dose of adrenaline in the rides. Here are the largest roller coasters in Europe! The ancient world is represented by five zones: Rome, Greece, Egypt, Iberia and the Mediterranean islands. You will be entertained by an incredible number of actors, acrobats, live sculptures, which, coupled with incredible scenery, sound and lighting effects, will allow you to feel the atmosphere of a fabulous celebration and magic for the whole day.
The price for children and seniors is € 29.50, and for adults is € 35. There is also the option of buying a family ticket or even an annual subscription. But prices may vary depending on the season, so carefully check the information on the official website. Free parking is available if you decide to arrive by car. From the A7 motorway, take the direct exit to Park № 65A.
This is one of those places that is definitely worth a visit!
The longest and busiest beach in Benidorm is located right in the center of the city opposite the small island of Isla de la Olya. In summer, the beach attracts a large number of tourists, this is an ideal place not only for a beach holiday, but also for active marine sports such as surfing, diving, kayaking. All equipment is rented on the spot. Interesting attractions work for children on the beach, including an inflatable island in the water. You can rent catamarans, yachts, for them on the beach there is a specially fenced area, where it is forbidden to swim swimmers. Naturally, the beach is equipped with changing cabins, showers and toilets. And for 7 euros you can take a deck chair with an umbrella.
Along the beach stretches the promenade with many restaurants, cafes, shops and souvenir shops. In the evenings, clubs and pubs open where you can watch music shows or just dance.
No wonder Levante beach is one of the favorite places for tourists and residents of the city, because really there is literally everything for a wonderful holiday. And since 2003 it has been marked with the Blue Flag, which is proof of its cleanliness, safety and a high level of comfort.
The Sierra Helada mountain range is located between Benidorm, Albir, Altea and since 2005 it has been recognized as a national park. The mountain coast, part of the sea and the three islands includes Sierra Helada. The main attraction of the park is the lighthouse of Albir, which is also an information center where hiking routes of varying complexity converge. Before going on the trail, carefully study the map and take a supply of water with you.
Here you can not only walk, but also swim. Near the rocks under water, divers enjoy a wonderful view of the marine flora and fauna, where you can meet moray eels, octopuses and many bright fish. Sometimes even dolphins swim in these waters. And from the port of Altea and Benidorm there are pleasure boats with a transparent bottom, where you can enjoy the underwater life without diving. The fauna is no less interesting above water – on the rocks gulls, peregrine falcons, and predatory swifts nest and hunt.
The opening hours of the park depend on the season and the day of the week, for example, in the summer it is open from 9:00 to 13:00 from Monday to Friday, but you can come there in the evening only from Wednesday to Saturday. All details are available on the official website, detailed descriptions and maps of walking routes are also located there. It’s easy to find the park, the N-332 highway leads there, and the signs will not let you get lost. Near the entrance to the park there is a free convenient parking.
Mal Pas Beach is located in the heart of the city. And although it is only 120 meters in length, it is rightly called the most beautiful beach of Benidorm. Despite the fact that it is located in the very center, the beach is surrounded by rocky ledges and palm trees, hiding it from the bustling crowd. And immediately on the left side behind the rocks begins the Old Town. From there they get to the beach, stone steps lead from the city to the sea.
The beach is cleaned daily, sand is evened and the surf strip is cleaned, and of course, there is all the infrastructure necessary for tourists – changing rooms, toilets and showers. Strong waves do not reach there, which makes it ideal for families with children. There is a rental point for catamarans, umbrellas and deck chairs, although the sand is fine and soft. The cost of a chaise lounge and an umbrella in a set is 9 euros.
A lively promenade with cafes, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops begins a three-minute walk from the beach. Here you can spend a wonderful day from morning to late evening.

Well, the incredible beaches of the Mediterranean Sea conquer the heart of absolutely any person. By the way, Benidorm is very popular among English-speaking tourists, so this is a wonderful opportunity to make international friends.
Most of the nightly entertainment venues are located on the Avenida Comunidad Valenciana, which is located on the outskirts of the city. The most popular discos in the area are KM Disco and KU Club. You can get there by car or taxi. Entrance fees vary from 15 to 30 euros.
Children, and adults too, will be delighted with Aqualandia and Aqua Natura water parks, Terra Natura zoo and Terra Mitica amusement park. Admission prices are about 40 euros. Pleasure, happy smiles and beautiful photos are guaranteed!

As they say, all roads lead … to Benidorm! This colorful town by the sea attracts tourists from all over the world all year round, but it is especially good in the summer, when it is simply impossible to resist the beach and the sea.
From any Spanish autonomy, the roads to Benidorm have been rolled for a long time and the navigator will help you! Like any country in the European Union, Spain is connected by network of excellent automobile routes that lead to this sunny oasis, from Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and other major cities.
If you are already in Spain or even in France, then we probably have not to tell you about the excellent local railway connection? High-speed, very comfortable trains will take you to the ESTACION RENFE in Alicante in a few hours. From the station in 10 minutes you can walk to the bus stop Estación del Autobuses, and there you can easily reach Benidorm. A network of bus routes is remarkably developed here, and trips to Benidorm are especially popular in the summer, so we recommend buying tickets in advance. Imagine that in less than an hour’s journey, you will throw your suitcase in the “Caballito del mar” and you finally can step on the golden sea sand and breathe the fresh breeze with your full breast!

Such trips will cost quite good price – no more than 10 euros per person. But a taxi from the airport to Benidorm can cost 80-90 euros.
Perhaps you value your time and do not want to worry about it? Then just book a transfer from Alicante by calling the reception at Caballito de Mar, and our driver will meet you and get you right to the door of the hotel.
Enjoy your travels and see you in Benidorm!
Spanish cuisine is not just food, it is a tourist attraction. Seafood, olives, Jamon and wine alone are worth it to come to Spain. But in fact, this is only a small part of all the delicacies. Food in Spain is loved and respected, so you should visit different parts of the country and enjoy the diversity of taste.
The most popular and light dish is Tortilla. A scrambled eggs with potatoes and, possibly, with the addition of other vegetables. It’s hard to find a place where you wouldn’t be served tortillas. The same goes for Toastado for breakfast – toasted bread with olive oil, with grated fresh tomato, with Jamon or cheese. In summer, Gazpacho is especially good – cold tomato soup. And of course, do not forget about Paella, the queen of Spanish cuisine. It is cooked in a special wide pan and consists of rice, sauce and any meat or seafood as desired. All this splendor goes well with Spanish wines, which are also considered the pride of the country. And for dessert – Churros, fried strips of dough, sprinkled with hot chocolate with excellent Spanish coffee!
The beauty of Spanish food is that it is easy to cook at home. Everything you need can be found in local markets, in shops and in retail stores. The Spaniards are proud of their cuisine and will gladly recommend only the freshest products. Of course, you know that our apartments have fully equipped kitchens, so you can easily prepare something interesting and very Spanish! A delicious morning breakfast with stunning views will create an excellent mood for the whole day. And the combination of local color and home comfort will make your stay unforgettable and very comfortable!
Did you know that the city of Benidorm is called Spanish Manhattan? Do you want to see it with your own eyes? Then you have to come and see it!
The modern resort town is located on the Mediterranean coast and is happy to welcome tourists from year to year. If you are not yet ready to visit crowded places, then it is advised to visit the port and enjoy the sea views on the Mediterranean Balcony (Balcón del Mediterráneo) and from the top of Tossal de Cala Mountain. And the Serra Helada Natural Park will impress even the most avid urbanist. You can talk about the restaurants of Benidorm, about the freshness of local seafood for a long time, but to be brief, they are magnificent.
Of course, this summer some activities will have slight differences compared to last season, but this will not particularly affect your vacation. The sea and the beauty of nature are independent of circumstances or laws. You just need to follow the rules, buy all passes and tickets in advance online, and, of course, choose the right place to live. From the spacious terrace of the “Caballito de Mar” Aparthotel you can enjoy the view of the historic city center, and at the same time, you can quickly find yourself on the wonderful Poniente or Mal Pas beach, because the distance from your doors to the sea is only 250 meters.
The new apartments of the hotel are decorated in pastel colors, very cozy, comfortable to stay and equipped with all necessary appliances. The layout and interior are thought out to the smallest detail, the apartments are perfect for both family or romantic vacations, and for business trips. From Alicante Airport to our Aparthotel, the distance is only 58 km. And of course, Caballito de Mar has complied with all the new hygiene standards and has been certified accordingly. Come to Benidorm to enjoy your vacation, and we will take care of the rest!
Did you know the Costa Blanca has been recognized as the healthiest region to live by the World Health Organization (WHO)!
The Costa Blanca is especially a pleasant area for people with respiratory problems, asthma, skin problems such as with open sores, psoriasis and allergies. People with rheumatism or other muscle or joint problems tend to feel much better in this microclimate.
With more than 300 days of a year of sunshine, you can enjoy agreeable temperatures the whole year through. The annual average temperature is 18º, which means that in the summer the temperature isn´t extremely high, and the temperature in the winter will be relatively warm.
These temperatures come because of the microclimate in the area. The Costa Blanca is cloaked by the warm Mediterranean Sea to the east and mountains just a few kilometers inland to the west. Both are string forces in keeping the good weather in and the bad weather out!

Tossal de la Cala is an Iberian settlement from the III-I centuries BC. where there is an archaeological site declared a Site of Cultural Interest.
It is a hill located between Cala Finestrat and Benidorm Bay, where we can enjoy a short excursion with family, partner or friends. As an interesting fact, recent archaeological investigations affirm that in Tossal de la Cala there is a Roman wall with more than 2,000 years old that acted as protection for the area and whose peak reaches 100 meters in height.
How to access Tossal de la Cala from GBH Caballito de Mar
You can access the area from the end of Playa de Poniente, a beach located less than 3 minutes from GBH Caballito de Mar apartments. Once at the end of the beach you only have to climb a hill along Calle de la Ermita. In the final part of the Tossal we find a Ermita y un Mirador The latter has beautiful views over the sea, from where you can enjoy the Benidorm coast, the Finestrat coast, and the Villajoyosa coast.
Without a doubt, is an almost obligatory place to visit. From GBH we recommend you first see the areas where you can park, parking there is usually difficult.
Where to park in Benidorm?
Benidorm offers us several alternatives when it comes to parking. We have underground paid parking and two free public parkings which, although they are quite far from the beach, have quite a lot of parking places.
From GBH we recommend that you take a look at it. Here we leave you the link to the main car parkings, both public and paid
GBH Caballito de Mar – Visit Mirador La Creu (La cruz)
The Mirador de la Cruz is located 217 meters above sea level, it is undoubtedly one of the most magical and charming places in the city of Alicante.
It is located at the top of the Serra Gelada Natural Park (Sierra Helada). Here the famous Cruz de Benidorm presides, with spectacular panoramic views of the city, the coast and the mountains, without a doubt will not leave you indifferent.
How to access the Mirador de La Cruz from GBH Caballito de Mar
The route begins at the end of the Levante beach by accessing the Rincón de Loix. Levante beach is located less than 3 minutes from our GBH Caballito de Mar apartments. The tour can be done by car or by foot, either as a couple or with friends.
At the top, you can find several routes and trails that line the extraordinary cliffs, without a doubt we recommend the route that leads to the Albir Lighthouse, the sunset with the sea bathed in sun is a spectacle that you cannot miss.
Where to park?
From GBH Hotels and Apartments we recommend you first see the areas where you can park. There is a public car parking right next to it, but with little capacity of spaces, we leave you the link to the nearest parkings
